WikiChat, PMs and Actions
How chat works, the chat prefixes, private messages, ignoring, AFK, name colours and fun actions.
You must be logged in to chat. Every chat line shows your name and your player ID in brackets.
The colour of your ID
The colour of the ID in front of your message shows who you are:

Chat and Discord
The game chat is linked with the #gx-chat channel on our Discord: what you say in game shows there, and messages from there show in game.
You can mention a player with @Name: the mention is highlighted, and it pings them on Discord too. Say PurpleGirl anywhere in a message to ask PurpleGirl a question.
Chat prefixes
Start a chat line with one of these characters to send it somewhere else:

Private messages
/pm <Player> <Text>sends a private message. The receiver sees "new PM from id:N" at the bottom of the screen./r <Text>replies to the last PM you got, and/lpmshows it again./spc <Player>sets your private chat partner: then every line you start with'is a PM to them./ipm <Player>ignores PMs from one player.

Ignoring someone
/ignore <Player> hides their chat and PMs from you; type it again to stop. /ignorelist shows who you ignore.

Away from keyboard
/afk (or /brb) marks you as away, and /back brings you back. /afkl lists who is away. Typing a command also clears your AFK status.

Name colours and teams
/mycolorshows the GamerX colour list, and commands like/red,/blue,/lime,/pink,/orangechange your name colour./resetmycolorputs it back. Your chosen colour is saved./teamred,/teamblue,/teampinkand/teamlimeput you in a colour team with its own team chat (;)./retireleaves it./teamsexplains them.

Actions and fun
/me <text>and/me2 <text>send an action line./cb <text>puts a chat bubble above your head./careand/boohooare emotes everyone sees;/fart,/lol,/lmao,/rofland/coughwork the same way./slap,/pokeand/puncha player (or yourself)./givekiss <player>and/giveflowers <player>.- Animations:
