Derby, Sumo and BloodRing
The car events: last car standing in Derby, pushing others off in Sumo, and collecting checkpoints in BloodRing.
These three are the car events. Everyone who joins gets the map's car. See events for voting, joining and prizes.
Derby
Everyone gets a car and the last car standing wins.
You are out when:
- your car burns,
- you leave or lose your car,
- you fall below the arena (the map's Z limit),
- you leave the arena, or you die,
- or you
/leave.
If two or more drivers are still in when the time limit is reached, nobody is the winner and the prize carries over.
Sumo
The cars can't break... push the others off the arena to knock them out.
You are out when you fall below the arena. When time runs out, the least damaged car wins (an exact tie carries the prize over).
BloodRing
Race for the checkpoints. Collect as many as possible... others will try to ram.
- There is one checkpoint for everyone at a time. Drive into it to capture it: everyone sees "NAME captured the checkpoint (n of 10)!", and a new checkpoint appears somewhere else.
- "Collect 10 Checkpoints to win this event!" The first to reach the map's score wins.
- If your car is wrecked or falls, or you die, you are respawned in a new car ("...RESPAWNING..."). Your captured checkpoints stay.
- When time runs out, whoever has the most checkpoints wins. A tie means no winner.
- The screen shows My Score and the First / Second / Third players.
Event options
Whoever loaded the event (or a Host) can set vehicle options while a Derby, Sumo or BloodRing runs:
/togglederbystuff <Autofix (1 or 0)> <NOS (1 or 0)> <InstantStop (1 or 0)> <SSBValue> (shortcut /tds)
With NOS on, everyone in the event is told: "press your fire key to use it!"
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/tds /togglederbystuff | Toggle Derby settings (eg autofix, NOS and speed boost) |
Building a Derby, Sumo or BloodRing
All three are built with the Derby builder. /setderbymode picks the mode: 0 Derby, 1 Sumo, 2 Bloodring. See building-events.
