Automated Moderation

How GamerX.mp keeps the game fair without admins: anti-cheat, chat flood protection, strikes and reports.

GamerX.mp has no admins handing out punishments. Moderation is automatic, and every punishment is announced in chat and logged to Discord with the reason and the evidence.

The server is as open as possible: there are no limits on normal chat, no cooldowns, and nothing is blocked in advance. Problems are dealt with when they actually happen.

Anti-cheat

The anti-cheat checks for things that can't happen legitimately on this server: weapons, a jetpack, or health or armour the server didn't give you.

Chat flood

There are no limits on normal chat. Only someone actually flooding (6 lines in 3 seconds) is muted for 60 seconds, and gets a strike.

Strikes

Strikes count for 7 days. The number of strikes you have picks the punishment:

Active strikesPunishment
1A warning
2Muted for 5 minutes
3Jailed for 10 minutes
4Banned for 1 day
5 or moreBanned for 7 days

/strikes [player] shows anyone's active strikes and punishments. For now a Host can lift them with /pardon, until elected officials take over appeals.

The strike time and the flood mute can be changed by the players through motions.

CommandWhat it does
/strikes-
/pardon-

Reporting

/report <Player> <Reason> reports a cheater or rule breaker (cheating, spamming, harassment...). Reports are saved for the automated moderation system and posted to Discord.

/ignore <Player> hides someone's chat and PMs from you (see chat-and-messaging).

CommandWhat it does
/reportReport another player for cheating, flaming, etc
/ignore /unignoreIgnore chat text sent from the specified player

Party worlds

Inside a party's own world, its party admins can mute, kick and ban from that world (see party-worlds-and-admins).
