/call
In SandboX editing mode: when a function's condition is met (checkpoint entered or left, pickup taken, timer ended, vehicle entered, exited or exploded), run another function; a condition can have many calls, run in order: /call [function ID] [condition] [function ID to call], or /call start [function ID] when the set starts
In the game
Usage: /call <FunctionNumber> <Condition> <FunctionToCall>
When that condition of the function happens, the other function runs. A condition can have many calls,
they run in order. eg /call 4 exit 9 <- when a player gets out of vehicle 4, function 9 runs.
Type /call start <FunctionNumber> to run a function when the set starts, and /conditions for the conditions.
What it does
Makes a call: /call [function number] [condition] [function number to call]. Editing mode only.
"When this condition of this function is met, run that function." A condition is like an event in code, and its calls are the lines of its handler: add as many as you like, and they run in call ID order.
| Function | Its conditions |
|---|---|
| (the set) | start: /call start [function number] runs it when the set is activated |
CP checkpoint | enter, leave |
SP pickup | pickup |
TI timer | end |
SV vehicle | explode, enter, exit |
CC camera | position: use the camera editor's set call on current position |
The game answers "\ You created call number n on function number f, condition "exit"."* and "\ On player exits the vehicle, function number t (CM) Client Message runs."*
- Leave the condition out (
/call [function number] [function number to call]) and you choose it from a list. A function with one condition (pickup, timer) needs no choice. - The condition can be its name or its number:
/call 4 exit 9and/call 4 3 9are the same. - The player who met the condition is the trigger player of the function it calls.
- /conditions lists the conditions and a function's calls; /deletecall removes a call.
Mistakes: "\ Sorry, function number f (CM) Client Message has no conditions..."*, "\ Sorry, "jump" is not a condition of function number f (SV) Spawn Vehicle. Its conditions: "explode", "enter", "exit"."*, "\ Sorry, function number t (the one to call) has not yet been created."* Typed with nothing after it, /call shows its usage lines.
Examples: /call start 1 = show checkpoint 1 when the set starts. /call 1 enter 2 then /call 1 enter 3 = when checkpoint 1 is entered, run function 2, then function 3. /call 7 explode 4 = when vehicle 7 explodes, run function 4.
Old name: /condition. See SandboX.
